Part 2: What do I even buy & what I now WANT to buy…

We are almost at the end of month 5 of no shopping and I have discovered a lot about myself.

I am seriously trying to hone in my personal style. As someone who is into fashion, and always has been, I feel like I have been a bit all over the board. And I want to get away from that. I want to come out of this spending less on more - if that makes sense.

So…here are 5 retailers I have learned to appreciate now more than ever + will be indulging in a purchase once this year is over:

andotherstories: It’s like the adult version of H&M or Zara. While I still love me some Zara, I think the sizing is inconsistent and I get frustrated when they are sold out of anything to actually swap it with. Blah.

The Odells: I love their neutral but finished and somewhat girly prints - I long for a trip to a winery in one of their maxis - SWOON.

Madewell: My fave jeans and I wish I would have gotten 14 other pairs before I shut down my no spending - just being honest!

Anthropologie: I can’t quit you (well, this year I can) and your sales.

Small Businesses: in general, I miss shopping in boutiques - I feel like touching the clothing is part of the buy - that rush and chatting with the sales team - SO FUN. As that is currently a thing of the past, I hope to pick this back up in 2021. It’s all about the experience!

I will be revisiting this list come next year to remind myself that it’s important to seek out the beauty and not buy just to buy.
