two thousand sixteen

I know everyone has been really having a hard time with 2016, but ultimately it wasn't that bad for me.  Want me to stop there?  k.

As with any new year, most of us reflect on what we have done, what we can change, how we can be better.

I have so many goals each year and, each year, the majority get overlooked because I spread myself too thin.  My husband swears you should just have one, so that you really focus and are able to obtain that one goal.  But, that's just silly.  I could never narrow it down to one!  I have, however given just three (the other 9 are tucked away in my infamous planner).

1. write more - I have been more open the past months with sharing my 'story' and I plan on divulging more, diving in further.  It is really theraputic for me and I hope somewhere along the way I can inspire others.

2. work more creatively - It's no secret I love a good tablescape, a well thought out flat lay or a overly posed ootd, but I want to expand on that.  More to come on that later...

3. relax more - this is rather contradictory to the two goals prior because they require me to add to my full - time work load but this one is really important.  I used to feel guilty if I spent a day on the couch binge watching shows, staying in my jammies all day...not anymore.  I worked on this slightly over the last year and I learned that it recharges me.  Sometimes the most fun days are spent on the couch with Andrew and Helmut and I won't have this time forever, so I need to relish and enjoy!

So, as we toast to 2017, I wish everyone an amazing year filled with love, prosperity and wonderful memories!
