a night with...Darling x Mary Kay

A night out was just what I needed this past week - I was feeling uninspired, unmotivated and in a fog from a long vacation.

This evening did not disappoint. I would like to highlight that I met someone I have admired greatly for many, many years - Taylor Sterling [ Founder of ] Glitter Guide. Throughout her social platforms and through her writing, she is real and speaks to you as if you’ve been friends for years. Our discussion in person was no different and she was kind, sweet and asked ME questions, as if we were two girlfriends sipping on the copious amounts of rosé that were flowing from WINC. It was the perfect beginning to an uplifting event.

We were seated for a devilishly delish and well planned out meal via KTCHN LA where we were broken into groups of 4 to really breakdown what beauty looks like today.

The discussing topics they fed us were intriguing and didn’t leave you with nothing to say. The girls I was seated next to kept me laughing, made me comfortable but, best of all, they understood me. Beauty is different to everyone and it’s also ever changing. We were also able to discuss us - who we are, who we were and where we are going. 4 different women, 4 different youths and 4 different journeys. It was amazing.
